I could really, really, really use the much anticipated promised New Home Buyer Credit check right now. The IRS made me wait to file for it until February. (They were creating a “revised” form for the newer year’s credit.) They changed the rules because of the large number of cheaters last year so that now you have to send in a paper return, no efile. Then they said no one would get paid until Mar or April because of the increased time required to process the paper forms. Now I call IRS and after a ridiculous amount of back and forth and time on hold, they tell me my return is still being processed and I cannot expect anything until May! I bought the house in Nov 09. I am sitting in my mobile home with the leaky roof watching the $1000s I spent on remodeling going to ruin because I can’t fix a $600 problem!
