I’d say probably. McCain and Obama might not like each other much, but I don’t think McCain would try to undermine the president in that fashion, and I do think Obama would trust McCain’s judgement about if the people he met with are on the level or not.

Apparently he met with 5 “rebel commanders” for an hour. If this is all we need to convince us to send weapons to said “rebels” we truly have forgotten history.
