It’s easier said than done, but unfortunately, in order to re-enter the American mainstream, the Republican Party will have to come to terms with the fact that Palin was a very bad choice for the Vice Presidential nominee in 2008. Let’s face it, her mental problems are all-too-real and all-too-obvious, and she’s not going to become sane before November 2012.
I say this as someone who is still a registered Republican, and I will always be proud of my votes for Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984.
But the Republicans made a big mistake in 2008 with Sarah Palin, and this simply must be acknowledged, if we want to move on.
