re: #798 Bubblehead II

Professional. My first experience with the E Series was rebuilding the reel mech. I tore it down and put everything in its place on my bench. Went to lunch and came back to everything in a single pile.

My manager told me you couldn’t be a real Tech if you couldn’t put it back together without an exploded diagram to help you.

He got told to go to hell. (He laughed and gave me the book)

You also had to be careful of the peanut lamps on the emitter board. The leads liked to break off.

Ok… I could tear down and rebuild any Bally slot up to and including the E-series. Without a manual.

I could also do things like that with 1930’s electromechanical console slots and horse racing machines.

I’ve had three major collections since 1974, but had to seel them and currently I don’t have the money to rebuild the collection.

I do have a Japanese Pachislo, and what is called a “Arrange Ball,” which is a coin operated (and coin payout) pachinko machine. Most people have never seen an “Arrange Ball” machine in the states.

But that’s the only coin-op I have right now.
