re: #806 Sergey Romanov

Is “Abir” related to “Habiru” by any chance?

The word means ‘strong’, or ‘strength’, but he probably connects the two.

He also claimed, in one of his newsletters that ‘sumo’ is derived from ‘sumer’, and is actually an import to Japan from our ancient Israelite system.

In the same newsletter, he complained at length about the word ‘Jew’, and how he doesn’t understand where it comes from, (‘jeweler’ maybe?) and he doesn’t like the word, because it has nothing to do with who we are as…Yehudim.

He’s now calling it ‘Abir/Qesheth’. The qesheth part is derived from a verse in 2nd Samuel, Also he bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow, behold it is written in the book of Jasher. According to the Aluf Abir, the ‘keshet’ referred to there is not an archer’s bow, (as in normal Hebrew usage), but his system.

The proof? He SAYS so.
