I’m not a political animal by nature, though I am driven to stay informed. Throughout the 8 years of BDS, I thought the injustice and the insanity would overwhelm me at times. I cannot go through 4-8 years of ODS and survive intact. Again, not a political animal.

I remember thinking, back when the VB/GoV/AS/Spencer mess started, how fortunate we were that in our country, as opposed to Europe, we had marginalized the terrible fringes so as not to give credence to such barbarity.

Apparently, they were not as far out of the US mainstream as I thought, and I am shocked at how quickly they have been embraced by some since crawling out of the woodwork. (Not to mention the many conspiracies we are now entertaining.)

It’s taking too much of a toll. I think I shall make for myself a hermitage until some semblance of sanity, reason, and principle returns to the national arena, or I am once again fortified enough to rejoin the fray.
