It’s a derogatory term when used by a black person, and it’s even more derogatory used by a white person.

Words have an effect. Tell a child he’s stupid, and he’ll eventually start believing it.

I ache when I hear young black kids call one another by the “N” word. I think they think its cute. But they do not know how doing so subtly erodes the self-concept. Soul murder: That legacy is the deeper obscenity of such words.
