Can you imagine how confusing it must have been in that theatre? Gunfire, gas… did the projectionist even stop the movie or just get out of dodge?

Darkness, smoke, chaos, people running and screaming, gunfire, possibly a movie still running, and the general tightly cooped quality of a room full of immovable rows of chairs…and yet, I am talking to people who are telling me quite seriously that it would have been ‘easy’ for someone to shoot the guy in body armor, and that thinking otherwise is purely stupid.

I’ve checked a couple of gun blogs in the last couple of days, and while there’s a lot of disagreement there, most folks seem to agree that it would have been a situation in which shooting back would have been problematic.

BTW, were there armed police in the multiplex when the shooting began? I’m hearing different versions.
