Interesting snip from a story about Paul Ryan..

Odd. St. Thomas Aquinas would be completely opposed to the GOP’s anti-science agenda. Aquinas said abrogating reason was a sin. He said when religious people are purposely ignorant and reject truth to preserve their faith that they make a mockery of their faith. In the 13th century, Aquinas had a more sophisticated view of reason and faith than does anyone leading the GOP today. I would quiz Ryan to see if he actually knows a freaking thing about what Aquinas said. My guess is that he is talking out his arse to appease the base.
