Huh. Are you sure? I thought I recalled Kirk being pleasantly surprised by that aspect of the alternate universe. (That, and the sexy mistress waiting in his quarters, of course.)

Absolutely positive since I just watched the episode this morning on DVD. ;)

There really wasn’t a whole lot of pleasant things about the mirror universe, especially the Captain’s Mistress and her use of stolen Alien Technology to disappear Mirror Kirk’s enemies.
