It’s getting increasingly difficult to separate libertarians from Republicans, especially for those of us without the scorecard that tells who the real libertarians are. Or the real Republicans.

*thinks on this for a moment*

Real libertarians don’t come across sounding more like the constitution party.

Rand Paul and Ron Paul come across as constitution party candidates, not libertarian.

Sure, there’s a spectrum and I can totally understand the frustration and exasperation with libertarians who still seem to think that somehow the Republicans are less evil than the Democrats. They’re wrong, very horribly and dangerously wrong.

and maybe I’m an atypical libertarian, but I’d like to think not as most of my libertarian friends are more in agreement with me than the Republican party. It’s a case where the noisy minority gets more airplay. Particularly since their aim is to get airplay and to get their face out there.

It’s crappy, and frustrating, but the only thing me and like minded libertarians can do is keep trying to get the word out that libertarians aren’t always synonymous with Republican or Asshole.
