At his age I was becoming more, not less conservative. But my parents didn’t try to make me into a meatpuppet for their political views and I did read some of what the left and center and to say before committing.

This is a joke, right? You’ve repeatedly conflated attacks on the GOP with attacks on your family. Just recently you cited your own change of opinion to:

They would rather have their foot blown off? Gee, that’s sounds like a level headed, reasonable point of view. Anyway, don’t worry, I won’t ask you to elaborate, however the idea that you’ve come to hold the opinions you do independently as an autonomous adult is kind of, well, a hard sell.
