As someone who has spent a significant part of my life in Germany (and also happens to be a Jew), I have not and will not lose my sensitivity to people throwing that charge around carelessly. I have mixed feelings about the legal status of doing so in Germany, but on the other hand it is certainly refreshing not to have to hear people trivialize mass murder on a near daily basis either.
