Yeah I mean there is no doubt that Brady has repeatedly come up big in big spots, or that Manning more often than not came up small when it was all on the line. (In fact I’d even say that the two SB’s he DID win were more won in spite of him than because of him.)

But I’ve never seen another QB who dazzled me like Peyton Manning when he was on. Certainly not Brady. Like I said he’s been money his whole career but he has just never wowed me. I can’t put him ahead of Peyton even in spite of the lopsided margin he has when it comes to postseason success.

Manning, as opposed to the majority of NFL quarterbacks, was given the autonomy to call audibles on the line, and he was good at it. Freakishly good. Yeah, he botched his fair share of calls, and it undoubtedly cost him some playoff wins he should have had, but he has two rings with two different teams and a claim as one of the greatest gunslingers of his era. I’d say he acquitted himself pretty damn well for all that.
