So as I understand him the choice is to have two parties that are fairly similar but differentiated by minor variations of the same theme, (he calls this essentially a one party system) or 2 parties where one governs in perpetuity from a center left - or center perspective and one permanently polls at around 20-25% of the electorate (and shrinking every cycle). What is the point he is trying to make. At least he can sleep at night?
