When the debate is 90 minutes about domestic issues, yet they never move beyond budgets and taxes, then I’d say the moderator was negligent in doing his job.

They should give the candidates a list of questions before the debate, give them exactly 2 minutes to answer them, and then a couple minutes each for rebuttals. They both just seemed to ramble on at times about “well I met Debbie in bumblefuck Iowa who’s yadda yadda.” 2 minutes each, then automatically cut off their microphone.
