Yeah, it sometimes got annoying but the speculation was often helpful. I just skimmed the Hot Air comments on the Pentagon shooting. They’re pretty nervous that he might end up being a Tea Partier.

The ricin thing was particularly annoying. Some Lizard linked a story about it which included the perp’s distinctly European name, and several hundred comments later a rather small group were carrying on with the “how much you wanna bet he has a middle eastern sounding name”. In my head I was screaming “RTFA”!

As far as the pentagon thing goes, suicide by cop seems most likely, unless the person/people were completely bonkers. I mean, that’s like kicking a bear in the nuts unprovoked, on purpose. Who the hell does that?
