Fighting is a lot of fun. I miss it every day. If there’s one addiction I’ll never kick, it’s wanting to get into a ring and fight. But that urge is so obviously tied into some dark, primal, scary shit that it’s obvious it’s only safe to indulge in under strict conditions of self-control, under rules. Even pro boxing is very dangerous— but at least there’s a ref, rounds end, you can’t hit a guy on the floor.

There are also some people out there who are monsters at fighting. They’re just naturally better than others. Born scrappers.
