I’m just frustrated.
I’ve had this issue off and on (dsl drops when I get phone call, dsl runs great for a few months and then slows down to molasses) and today the guy just basically blew me off with “you need to replace the splitter/filter” bullshit when I know it is an issue with my distance from the switching station and being the “end of the line” as they say.
Periodically they will switch our “ports” at the station and then service sucks and you have to get to the local guy who will go change what has been fucked up.

right now our download is 1.4 mbps…good or bad, I don’t know but I’m annoyed.
