That kind of impinges on their rights as citizens. We breed other mammals for specific jobs all the time, but we view humans as different than all other animals so breeding for a specific purpose removes their humanity. To me, that goes well over the edge, although there may be circumstances where necessity could change my mind. If the human race was in danger of being wiped out by some extraterrestrial threat, and only our best soldiers could change the outcome, cloning a military force might not be a bad idea.

Many ethical questions we consider every day are hazy at some point.
