I disagree, strongly. We need to police our own side more vigorously and with more anger than we would our ideological opponents. Keep your own house clean before you start jacking with others. Just my opinion.

It always strikes me as very revealing that there is NO policing on the right wing sites.

People could regularly come up with racist fantasies, for instance the tea party “when we stop their wellfare there will be a race war, stock up on bullets” on pj media and except for me, there would never be anything but little nods of agreement. There is no such thing as too far when you’re on the right side.

However, I’m not happy with the word “police”. Self appointed police can be assholes who get rid of reasonable people. Disagree all you want, argue all you want but “police”? Do you get to arrest people? If you police well enough you can end up with a monoculture, where, ironically, there’s noone to argue when something horrible IS considered accepted.
