They have never been taught to think of anyone but themselves. They are the center of the universe, in their own minds. Narcissists.

Couple that with an almost collective and willing ignorance of anything outside of pop-culture….pretty dangerous.

At my old job, when it was slow some of my co-workers would try and engage me in conversation about The Daily Show, The Hills, The OC etc or I’d try and engage them on issues like Iraq and Afghanistan, supposed climate change or the economy.

Futile excercises on both accounts.
