Is not liking to see our greatest tool to educate ourselves used to spread superstition really an ax to grind?

I’m not apoplectic, I’m totally chill, and slacking off at work. Coworkers would notice if I was remotely upset. I just tend to point out when people make claims that are obviously impossible. Is that wrong?

In this case, the person making the post already knew it was impossible and was just turning a right-wing christian’s beliefs back on himself.

It was just religious bystanders that got upset about not having a safe space for false beliefs, when this site is all about debunking false beliefs.

Why should religion get special treatment? A lot of skeptics do this too, just because they want to get along, and religion is more popular than other questionable beliefs in America.
