Yeah, I used to hear that in Boston all the time. “I jewed the guy down on the deal.” It’s seriously one of the reasons I left. That town is so whitebred. It’s more than whitebread. It’s mayo on buttered white bread.

Can you tell me what whitebread means in this context? Urbandic didn’t quite help.
