Hit Miniseries ‘The Bible’ To Have Sequel On NBC

NBC announced that it’s purchased the rights to “A.D.: Beyond the Bible,” the follow-up to the History Channel hit that premiered in March. Like the original, the sequel will be supervised by Mark Burnett, the producer behind reality shows like “Survivor” and “The Voice.” According to the Times, “Beyond the Bible” will “center on the work of the apostles and early Christians in trying to survive Roman oppression in the years after the crucifixion.”

A show about persecuted Christians? Some one knows a ratings grabber for sure.
