I have felt for some time that Koman was little more than a marketing and branding effort, having long forgotten about the original good goals. All that pink ribbon crap was to sell products, not support women’s health efforts and research.

That seems now to be pretty much proven.

I’ve always felt that many of these charities like Komen are quite the racket. The CEO of Komen is raking in close to $400,000 a year in salary. They made a big mistake with this decision and will likely lose a lot of contributions. From now on all of these “Race for a Cure” events will be seen as another anti-choice group coming through town.
