I hear what you’re saying, but going to check them out wouldn’t help seeing as I know diddly-squat about this kind of thing. We have a relative who works in the hospital and has made some recommendations for us, and we’re grateful for that.

I second what FG says. You can also check people out through a few places— being in NYC you’re pretty lucky actually. New York Magazine and other places are always doing roundups of the best doctors. I’m trying to remember the big trauma place in westchester— valhalla? World class facility IIRC.
