A thousand times this. I’ve been saying this for the last two years.

Regardless of how you feel about Obama and the Dems, the people who ruined the economy by ‘08 (Republicans, for those of you in denial) want back in. And they’ve pretty much said that they’re going to do the same thing that caused the crisis in the first place.

This is why I get so irritated with everyone talking about undecided voters. Seriously; what the fuck is wrong with you people? Were you not watching what happened when Bush was in office?

If you go to a doctor to have a corn removed, and they amputate your foot, YOU DON’T GO BACK TO THE SAME DOCTOR and say “Hope he gets it right this time!” Yet there are people in this country who apparently think that an extreme version of Bush’s economic policies will somehow magically fix everything.

People wonder why I’m a misanthrope at times. He’s a perfect example why.

It’s short term political memory. It’s how we get things like the Tea Party and why I laugh my ass off when Paul Ryan especially claims to be concerned about the deficit. He voted for all the controversial Bush items that added to the deficit and I’m not only including the wars here but domestic items as well. But now Obama’s president, he and others suddenly find religion. Remember it was a Republican Vice President who shrugged off deficits as “not mattering.” Of course Ryan now claims he did so reluctantly but that’s convenient now huh.
