Hard to know what will happen — a lot depends on voter suppression, gerrymandering, and voter disenfranchisement. But in the past 12 House elections, Democrats won only 4 of them. Losing the demographic battle doesn’t mean losing control, especially when you have the financial resources to control the media.

Here’s why things are different now: why didn’t AOC run in 2016? Why didn’t MJ Hegar run in 2016? Why didn’t all those amazing people run 2 years earlier? The answer is that people were comfortable. Too many people thought that things were going to be ok. Now people realize they have to step up.
