In fact, Barton declared that the mere existence of federal regulatory agencies represent “the most dangerous attack on our liberties since the British” while Green explained that there was no need for federal agencies to prevent companies from dumping toxic waste because the truly free market will hold them accountable when they get sued:

And all the while they are trying to put caps on how much you can (if you are even allowed) sue a company for. Seems like a win-win for corps. But if they really want to take us back in time to a more rational place in our history, without regulations. If one of those companies were to kill one of my children because they don’t have regulation and decided to pollute my water with contaminants that killed my child(ren), I can hunt down the CEO and officers of the company and shoot them in the street like the dog they are? Just like what was done in the ‘good old days’ to thieves and horse rustlers (well I guess I would have to hang them rather than shoot them to be really true to the “good ‘ol days”. I think the CEO’s might start yearning for the good ‘ol court cases in lieu of direct recourse.
