Say that sale exists. Further posit that Obama then cuts the sale of the F-16s.

The ensuing outrage from the same folks complaining would be that Obama’s killing jobs on the F-16 factory lines and that the sale must go through.

In other words, no matter what the President does, they’d complain about what the President is doing.

Of course they do that. Both sides do that. If you give full praise or credit to an action by an office holder of the other party, you’re also telling the voters why they should stick with the other party the next time that office has an election. It’s a case of electoral politics over results.
