I guess I’m not really understanding why Charles is so adamantly against this site for their hateful views to the point that he won’t even allow links to the site, but he posted a video by Pat Condell in which he said that he buys beer not because he likes it, but because it offends Islam. And then there are the other videos by Pat Condell, which I don’t believe have been posted here. In these he calls religion evil or refers to Islam, Judaism, and Christianity as “insults to humanity” or something along those lines, and says that faith does not deserve respect. He made it quite clear that his point is to just be plain offensive to Christians by posting a video titled “Happy Easter” in the days before Easter 2007 in which he just ranted about how ridiculous Christian beliefs are.

Basically, what I’m saying is Pat Condell’s videos are pretty hateful too. I’m not even particularly religious, but they offend me just because he is so hateful about it and apparently just feels that he must offend people. It’s one thing if people are using their religious beliefs to harm you or are trying to impose their beliefs on you. But Condell rails against religious people simply because they are religious with no exceptions made, and that is hate speech too. I’ll give Charles the benefit of the doubt and assume maybe he didn’t realize how offensive some of Condell’s other videos were when he gave him publicity on this site.
