People do end up spending more than they should. Do not let it get you down. I have no problem when people end up with some problems. The interest rates do not help. I think the common rate with credit cards were 18% at the time. With monthly payments you would not even pay enough on the principal. The debt kept rising even if you did not charge something again. Pure greed by banks and credit cards.
The “dead beat” I was talking about were people who did not care paying for things. With people who had trouble, I had no problem with helping them out of the jam. Bill consolidation, those things.

You know that Obama fixed that credit card thing. My last credit card that I tore up, I had paid 3 years every month on time. The day I was late on a payment, the rate went from 12% to 25%. That’s legal usury and no one did anything about it for years.
