It’s not impossible that I’ll purchase a firearm someday, but an organization with secret leadership will not speak for me.

Unless you decide to start manufacturing/selling firearms, the NRA wasn’t going to speak for you in the first place. It ceased being a voice for gun owners a long time ago.
