It’s not just that they hired an actor, they hired an actor whose signature role is as the protagonist in an ultra-violent video game. And what’s more, there’s no way they didn’t know that. Again, it goes back to the dishonest portrayal of guns this stunt engaged in, which was William’s point as well.

It’s possible to make an honest anti-gun case and we’ve had articles linked to from LGF that have done so. I don’t with those cases, but I feel they were made honestly and with due regard for the truth. By contrast, while I agree that this stunt was not as damaging as a dishonestly run crisis pregnancy center, what it did have in common with such a place was the “Lying for Jesus” in its dishonest portrayal of firearms. And not put words in William’s mouth but I think that was what he found unacceptable.
