Cheney: WMD Attack on Obama's Watch 'Highly Probable'

He’s worried and with good reason. Europeans are pushing the US to open talks with Iran.

“The readiness of the new administration to reach out to Iran was explicitly welcomed by all at today’s meeting in Wiesbaden,” German Foreign Ministry spokesman Jens Ploetner said at a government news conference in Berlin.

He underlined Germany’s hopes that Iran will respond positively to the new overtures from Washington. “We hope that this outstretched hand will not be seen as a sign of weakness in Teheran,” he said.

It’s faith based negotiations. They’re hoping that the US gestures aren’t seen as weakness.

Memo to the US and Europeans. Restraint and negotiations are seen as weakness to be exploited. It will be seen as weakness, and Iran will further accelerate its plans knowing that Obama and the Europeans are not going to do anything. By the time the US and Europeans realize that they have to act, it will be too late (and that tipping point may have already passed).
