I would add that transgender people are as “innocent” as cisgender people. I know you didn’t mean to imply otherwise, it’s just that it makes me twitch a little—like when “innocent” Sikhs are attacked because they’re mistaken for Muslims, as if Muslims by their very existence as such are somehow automatically not innocent.
