Sad indeed. I recently took a box of Soylent Green crackers to the studio and showed them to my co-host. He had no idea what they meant. The poor man was born in 1968 and had never seen the movie.

A restaurant I went to while in college had their version of Green Goddess salad dressing called “Soylent Green”. I ordered that for my salads in appreciation of the reference. And had to explain it to my friends, who thought it meant the salad dressing was made from soybeans thus would be tofu-flavored.
