See, as it should be. The reddish undertones of gold and its alloys is enhanced by the reflected color of suitably pigmented skin. If the underlying reflected light source has no reddish tint, then the true color of the gold shines too yellow and brassy. Silver, with its whitish-grey coloring, works best for pale skin, such as mine.
Although I have a friend with beautiful dark red hair and tons of freckles and her gold jewelry looks very nice.
I sold a bunch of it last year - old bangle bracelets, hoop earrings, rings, necklaces, etc. Made a pretty penny!
