I love how the Tea Partiers assume that the entitlements that benefit them are justified, while those that benefit others are “waste”.

Isn’t that true for most things? I mean, just look at Congress. In general, people love to criticize every other member of Congress as a bunch of corrupt assholes who are ruining America and spending us into the ground, but they love their own representatives that bring in millions of government dollars to the community.
