My brother and I were having a conversation a lot like this. We both agreed while the rioting and looting is not to be condoned that there seems to be lacking empathy or sympathy for what these neighborhoods and conditions are like.

Empathy with those living there, sympathy with their conditions, but not sympathy (or condoning) rioting and looting. Sounds like liberal “nuance” crap to me.
