you really shouldn’t. it’s entirely possible the student debt was wracked up for stupider reasons than, perhaps, the hvac guy who has an oversized pickup truck so that he can move his crew around to worksites, the person who purchased a 90” plasma screen because they live in a shitty neighborhood and television becomes the only viable means of killing time in the house between shifts.

Then the pickup is not oversized, it is a business expense.

And yes, I have seen students spend their money unwisely, but the bulk of it is tuition costs.

When I attended state universities in the late 70’s, tuition costs were something you could cover with a summer’s worth of minimum-wage jobbing. They have since more than tripled even accounting for inflation.
