It’s not just Iran. Obama seems to prefer the status quo over any changes in foreign governments, including preventing a Chavez style coup in Honduras. What the hell is he thinking? Is he worried that someone else will get media coverage and “distract” the public from the headlong rush into his policy of the day?

This is the State Department approach, in which stability is the goal, not justice, freedom, or self-determination.
The State Department focuses not on people wthin nations, but on the lines between them.
