I’ve mentioned my great uncle before but he was a white man that was a priest to a predominately African-American congregation in Louisiana in the 40’s. They definitely welcomed him with open arms. What these idiots refuse to understand is that the reason why so called black churches were often founded in the first place is yeah racism and also the biblical justification by many white churches for slavery.This church has existed in South Carolina longer than many families including well over 80% of my own have been in this country. It was founded in a time of history where AFrican-Americans were treated like subhumans in the South.

I’d argue that historically black churches have been much more welcoming of white visitors than historically white churches have been of black visitors, until fairly recent times. So, I can fully understand why AA people would rather attend a church that warmly welcomes them.

I have a white friend in the States who goes to an AME church because she says it way more fun than an uptight white church service.
