Oh, I forgot that Feinstein came out earlier this evening to also throw cold water on the idea of abolishing the filibuster. The woman who will be chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee if we retake the Senate is already saying that she’ll see to it that the Repubs retain a veto on any progressive legislation for at least the next 2 years.

It’s the same deal we’ve seen over and over again: Repubs blow their own foot off, only for Dems to jump at the sound of the gunshot and immediately begin pleading for mercy.
