Here’s the thing that gets me. Say I’m a bad guy with an urge to shoot someone. Who gets my first bullet?

There are a lot of cliches about it, but the simple is that if you stand out you get attention. Good, bad, doesn’t matter; you get it. All he’s doing is making sure that in the unlikely event something goes down while he’s around, someone gets his life insurance benefit.
