I was indeed fixing a bike.

A nice man wanted to help a poor neighbor, so he brought the neghbor’s bike in for a seat post. Since he’s being nice to his neighbor, I thought I’d pitch in. “Want me to throw it up in the rack to air the tires and oil the chain?” ‘Sure!’

Hmm…. rear wheel doesn’t turn. Oh, it’s bent. I go to take the wheel off, and it falls off. But the axle is bent. And the brake pads are falling apart. And the cables are rusty.

Got him out of here $40 and 45 minutes later, with a fairly functional bike..
