I really can’t see anything useful getting through the House, and its going to get very ugly. RedState is presently pre-emptively hyperventilating on the subject.

Supposing a bill actually does get written in the Senate and passed, I expect the House will subsequently strip anything resembling “amnesty” from it, beef up the border security measures, and send it back. It’ll die an ignoble death, but the GOP will say “Hey, we tried to pass reform, but the Democrats insisted on ‘amnesty’ and we’re not going to support that.”
