The closest thing I can find is this thing on RedState where Senator Jon Kyl reports that Obama told him face-to-face that he won’t secure the border, because then Republicans won’t have a reason to support ‘comprehensive immigration reform.’

That’s a huge jump from “executive order amnesty”, of course…

Of course, Kyl is certainly not making any of this up, right? Then explain why today we have more border security than any other time in history? Explain why George Bush never “solved” the immigration issue if it was so important to Republicans. It certainly wasn’t on the top of his agenda.

The White House, btw, denies ever saying such things to Kyl. It’s his word against the President’s and everyone knows the Republicans aren’t taking Obama’s word at anything.
