Look at that. Even people who are for tax increases have to water it down with “i’m not saying it’s necessary but…” It is necessary! We’ve come to be afraid of actually stating that.

You should have seen the ABC Nightly News report yesterday about a teabagger, married to a teacher, who was more than happy to swallow the huge pay cut she’d get under Walker’s plan “because the state was broke”. Why do I get the feeling that a nominal tax increase - which wouldn’t have taken nearly as big a bite from his family income - would have him squealing like a stuck pig?
